Nine Ingredients Prohibited for Cosmetics by TFDA Starting 2025

To meet the international cosmetic requirements tendency, TFDA had announced that the following 9 ingredients are not allowed in cosmetics products on 21st Mar. 2024. The ban will start from 1st Jan. 2025.

The 9 ingredients include

Aminocaproic acid(INN) and its salts, 3- and 4-(4-Hydroxy-4-methylpentyl) cyclohex-3-ene-1-carbaldehyde (HICC), 2,6-Dihydroxy-4-methyl-benzaldehyde (atranol), 3-Chloro-2,6-Dihydroxy-4-methyl-benzaldehyde (chloroatranol), Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid and its salts, Ammonium pentadecafluorooctanoate, Perfluorooctanoic acid, Nonadecafluorodecanoic acid and its salts, Perfluorononan-1-oic acid and its salts.
