Back to list
This regulation defines the usage restrictions and labeling requirements for the food ingredient Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA). GABA must be derived from specific lactic acid bacteria fermentation, with a GABA content of at least 20%. The daily consumption limit is set at 100 mg of GABA. Foods containing this GABA ingredient must include specific warning labels, particularly regarding interactions with medications and precautions for certain populations. Products manufactured or imported before the regulation takes effect may continue to be sold until their expiration date. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
